I definitely called him The Artist Formerly Known As Prince. then The Artist. I also typed the o(+> when on the computer. It seemed like what he wanted. He didn't want to be called Prince anymore, so why would I call him Prince? 
At first we used to jokingly call him "Shhhhh-ting" imitating the sound effect of the symbol coming on to the screen on the on the promo for the o(+> album (on the Sexy MF video single). "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"
