Yall R Wrong! Rave IN 2 the Joy ROCKS!!!! The one you can order from NPG that is. This CD was trashed but I just got it for the Beautiful Strange track, so then I said let me listen to this CD and I just heard the Hot With U Nasty Girl Remix - TOTAL WICKED!!!! Why he never did this as a single/video I will never know.
The songs Baby Knows, The Sun the Moon, Beautiful Strange are cool songs and even the Rave song techno beat is slammin! I know we all have individual taste but I thought I was going to just download Beautiful Strange and toss with the CD with the rest of my collection Who would'a thought I would like the RAVE CD!!!

beutiful strange is boring LOL.
Nothing can save the mediocrity of that album. U just know Prince couldn't be fucked with that album. How many songs off that album did he play live 
Having said that, he barely touched any of "grafitti bridge" live. And i love that album. Still "rave....." has less edge then a grape. | |

good cd...not great but better then the crap it gets on here. Rave In2 is a ton better than Un2 in all respects except In2 doesn't have Strange But True and the original Rave. Both imo are great Prince tracks that are as good as anything on Musicology or 3121. However the fact that Un2 has that shitty Everyday Is a Winding Road remake on it makes it one of the worst P albums he made. Get it, got it, good. | |

With the exception of very few tracks, I prefer Rave Un2 better than In2
It's a very glossy album, but not nearly as bad as everyone says it is. I consider it to be a good album. Not great, but at least as good as D&P, which got much more acclaim.  | |

I borrowed Rave un2 the joy fantastic yesterday (didn't have rave in2). No weird look. Though the librarians always look slightly confused...
Anyway, It's not that bad! Of course it's not a masterpiece, but, as one of you said before, it's obviously a brake-up album and he had to get some things out of his system. My favourites, so far, are The Greatest Romance... and Hot Wit U. I guess Mayte is not a fan of any of tehse songs, especially I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore... [Edited 4/12/06 14:17pm] | |

Q about the remix version of the album.
R all of the songs listed different versions or remixes? I ask because on NPGMC, the track listing indicates which tracks R remixes, but half of the tracks don't indicate that they R any different. Please help. I tried listening to Rave in2... today. I'm just not feeling those remixes (outside of "Baby Knows"). Even the extended part on "Tangerine" sounds off. The only thing that really makes this album worthwhile (to me) is "Beautiful Strange" and that's not even his "best" performance of it. I like Rave un2... much better. | |
