OK so wadda y'all think was the man's best and worst facial hair style?

For me I really liked the beard look of D&P and the thin tash of LoveSexy.

But with out a doubt the worst has gotta b the 1993 sideburn linking up with moustache disaster! And coupled with that do... whoa! Waddamess!

The more hair the better - full w/ simple grooming. A beard or goatee is lovely on him.

I can't believe I'm answering this Q...

Then again, it does put his image into my head...

And y'all do get to look @ my avvy & see a beautiful example of what I'm sayin'...

Best: 1977 & 2002
Worst: 1990 - 1993

I go with your choice, muffin! The Lovesexy penciled mustache is vintage Prince. That's the image that pops into most people's head when then think "Prince", I think, and then they go "Ewww..."

As for us fams/naysayers, of course, we just go "Mmmm yeah..."

My pick for worst facial hair style has got to be Purple Rain / 1999. Looks like a combination of Rick James and the paki that lives next door to me. Not that's necessarily a bad thing, just doesn't suit him.

And the 1993 look, of course. Lawdallmightie!

The "typhoon" hair-do was of course the silliest ever.

And I liked the pic on the side of TRC. He's short again, is he not? Like the Emancipation era?

I miss his wild Sign O The Times hair-do. Just love all those pics in the Sign O The Times tourbook, esp of him, Cat and Sheila in wooly sweaters. SOOO cute.

actually I never liked the "Puprle Rain" moustache style... I like Prince unshaven on "U Got the Look video" (in the parts where he sits in front of a mirror and sleeps). I also really like the times of "Graffiti Bridge". and someone was right about the sideburns in 1993 - not that nice on him, though certainly stylish.

The goatee of the Emancipation through Rave times is a classic though.

I like the 2 day old stuble look from some scenes in Purple Rain and Sign O'the Times.
