I remember when Prince recorded this. He looked at all of us and said "want to see how crappy I can play this and what a lame beat on the Linn I can create?" We all laughed as he started playing it. Then he said "I am going to play this with my feet" and he did it.
I remember asking him if he wanted to make it longer, and he said that it was important that it sucked as much as possible, was too short to be a song and that it would fool no one! That way it would be the ultimate prize for a collector! Nice to see that it finally got smuggled out of Sunset Sound. Yes, it was a day much like today. I remember it well.
