some of these posts are confusing bad singing with things like inflections and a singer's own nuances. like on White Mansion, "Sing a song in Chazz's bar.." the way he sings "bar"is intentional. it's not off key, he sang it that way.

or in Had U....that monotone singing he's got going on, it's intentional. i think Prince does a lot of stuff like that. and even if he does mess it up, i bet he likes it and prolly will keep it on the track.

On the "Prince And The Revolution Live" video tape from 1985, the screams on "The Beautiful Ones" are totally off. He sounds like he's choking.

The high high high note he hits in God is off but it still sounds good. prince makes many things work, he's inovative. Although i think often his live falceto doesn't really work and isn't strong enough. Kiss just doesn't work live, partly because you can't help comparing it to the studio version
