Prince On BBC Radio

I've got Sirius with Dish Netwrok. Oneof the things it does is le tyou listen to radio from aroun d The US.

They even have a link to England with the BBC One network. I've been listening and it seems to be the pop station for England. My only question is where is Prince? He's supposed to be number one. Haven't heard him ,Madonna,or Mariah Carey on it.

Try listening to BBC Radio Two - it's aimed at a more mature audience. They play a bit of everything on there.

There are about 10 BBC national radio stations, and tons of regional ones, they all broadcast to the UK, even outside London wink

You can listen online: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/

The only thing you can do with BBC Radio One is torturing people. Horrible station! No wonder they don't play Prince, because he just makes too good music...

Tons... there are independent stations as well as the BBC ones.

Doubt they would play Prince either though!

Prince isn't Number 1. He's not even in the Top 40 in the UK anymore.

No, we dont dance here in England.

The only genre of music we have in England is pipe music. Luckily we have all your American RnB and teen rock to keep us in touch with the real world.

Most of us brits only ended up on this site because we thought it was a homage to Prince Charles...

Ooh - I love Smooth FM. You're never more than ten minutes away from another Luther Vandross track.

Our stations play a bit of everything....I dont mean bunged in together though

Radio 1 has very distinct DJs who play their own stuff an have thier own shows.

Trevor Nelson is the Dogs bollock for R&B

Zane Lowe for anything new and cool

Tim Westwood for Hip Hop etc (although the guy is a parody of himself...he was shot and thinks its cool...Id shoot him if I coudl but not cuz he's gangsta!!!)

Pete Tong, Judge Jools etc for Dance

and thats just Radio 1

Radio 2 have a 2 part listen-again documentary on Prince

but you have to remember that Prince has only had 1 number 1 here....TMBGITW
