For the life of me, I can't pick a song that describe my personality. Prince's music simply has a way to fit many of my moods, but there's not a single song I truly identify with on a personality level. Here are some examples anyhoo...
Strange Relationship : this describes *most* of my serious relationships, but I can't tell you exactly why (though I could...) Dinner with Dolores : this fits a couple of lesser relationships I've had... (not that I'm complaining, but when something fun but superficial ends badly, there,s the song for me...) Eye Hate U : when a relationship is still burning with passion, but you're hurt because there's been some serious trouble recently... Alphabet Street : This is ideal when I'm feeling carefree and light.. Just being alive and contemplating what I could enjoy but taking my time and smelling the roses along the way. Little Red Corvette/Delirious: seeking pleasure more actively. Craving it seriously, meaning business, etc. etc. This category would have many more examples, such as Sexy MF, but it's the most cliched when it comes to Prince, so... Bob George : When I'm angry at someone or even myself, this is a good way to musically feel the anger and getting over it quick. Condition of the heart : feeling blue... for that yellow day of the week... Starfish and coffee : just feeling "wide open to life's many wonders, like a little kid. Housequake : Just pure pleasure... makes stomping such a life affirming act... groove! Catch my on a Housequake day and we'll have a bawl... | |
