I kind of dislike both versions.

It just lacked any real sensuality or interest.

Video version is so much better. I hate the distorted guitar on Rave In2 version. It really comes to life live though, I've heard alot of spectacular live versions.

i like them both. used to like the early version a lot more
but yesterday nite just as i wanted to switch off the puter
and go to bed, shuffle came up with the Rave In2 verion and
it was like i heard it for the very first time.

it's pretty wicked. i just love them both a lot. would have
been nice if he'd put it on the original rave and released
it as a single with both versions on it.

arguably the best Prince composition of the late '90s
i like most any version, but i did fall in love with the 1st version
and i still consider it the better of the two mentioned
i hope to hear it live-and-in-person someday soon

From all those I've heard, Nighttown Rotterdam aftershow 2002 towers head and shoulders above the others. I think he was scared of himself that night. The guitar solo is brutal.
