*According to “American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, Prince was definitely in talks to make an appearance on the show next week. Executives at his label, Universal, were hoping that a visit to the top-rated program would keep his new album “3121” near the top of the charts following its No. 1 debut last month. IMDB reports that the artist had been meeting with “Idol” producers to discuss the idea of his participation in the show, but there were several issues that stood in the way of a deal being finalized. When asked about the negotiations between Prince and show producers, and the possibility of seeing His Royal Badness rock Hollywood’s Kodak Theater, Lythgoe said: "I don't think so. He did not want to talk with the kids and did not have the time." wtf?? Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

I don't blame him. Why couldn't they just let him play and bypass all that nonsense with interacting with the kids? Yeah, it would have been entertaining as hell seeing Prince interact with Bucky, but letting the guy just play his music would have been better. | |
