Ultimate Prince cancelled...

Tamar's album cancelled...

Not a single gig, tv appearance or interview since the album launch...

Still no confirmed tour dates...

Purple ticket confusion...

Tamar's album is cancelled?!?!

I must of missed that!

What happened?

According to Tamar herself via of her website the album isn't cancelled, just delayed for "various reasons", whatever that means. As far as what's going on, ya'll know P is one calculating dude. It's not that nothing is going on, it's just that nothing is going on that we can see. He's doing something. It'll come out soon enough I guess. I get the feeling Ultimate may be released in September.

Oh, I love the speculation! It's half the fun, I say.

'Ultimate' is a Warner Bros project.

It has nothing to do with Prince, although he may have influenced the cancellation, I'm sure he was not skipping with joy at the release.

As for the lack of appearances, I do not know and I too, find that difficult to explain. Perhaps Prince has decided against anymore publicity for reasons undisclosed to us. There may be private issues or problems.

Tamar's album, again, is disappointing and puzzling, but albums get pushed back and forth in schedules all the time.

Maybe Prince just has a bad cold or the flu. My sweetie has a wicked upper respiratory infection and a cough that could wake the dead.
Though I have to admit I too was wondering why it got so quiet on the Prince publicity juggernaut. I figured he would have at least put in an appearance on Leno's show by now.
Oh well, if he's sick, get well soon Prince. If it's something else, we'll find out eventually. Or not.

i started liking prince in about 1995, i brought musiclygy and the singles all flopped, 3121 was a hit but the singles flopped, alotof stuff since then has charted poorly.

i started liking t-rex in 1977, a week later he died

i started liking david bowie, now he charts poorly

same with any other band i like, they all have poor succes when i like them

el presidente, loui xiv, jamiroquai, ub40, armand van helden, darknes, hot hot heat, paul mccartney, daft punk are just a few of the artiss that have charted poorly since ive liked them

He was never off the telly when he was promoting Musicology and what have we seen him do for 3121? SNL and The Brits?

My favourite choclate bar was Jamica Rum (yellow cover with an image of a spanish gallion) but that got cancelled so my new favourite was Rum and Raisin but that too got cancelled. I had to then make do with Cabury Fruit but then that got cancelled. At least they revoved the peanut from the Revels pack and replaced it with choclate raisins so I can eat all of the Revels now without spitting some out.

Other favourites of mine that got cancelled:
Wispa (Why??? The new bubbly dairy milk dosen't compare)
Cabury Lime (like a turkish delight but green instead of red inside, the shopkeepers used hand me a lion bar by mistake)
Pink Panther bar (Pink Choclate, this is going back donkey's years)
Two In One (So far back I barely remember it, classy looking bar with a picture of a renaissance type on each square)
Club Golf (like a Club Milk but with dark choclate, green wrapper with a golf ball on the front, my granny used give me these)
Choclate Squirrels
Neoploitans (When I was 4 I called them Wild feachers (couldn't prounounce features) cos they had an image of a palm tree on the front)
Orange Matchsticks (I think these are still available in the UK but not Ireland)

and some ice lolly's I remember:
Dracula Ice Pop (black, in the shape of dracula and with red inside)
Killamonjaro (excuse my spelling, had an indian on the wrapper and was very expensive compared to the others)

and of course the famous Cherry Coke which is no longer available here either.

To maximise sales you need to spread your "product" releases across the year, paritcularly if you have a "niche" audience who are very likely to buy everything (but may not financially be in a position to do so in the same short period).

In terms of the lack of TV appearances, that certainly does seem odd (but par of the course for Prince).

I suspect something is cooking and it's gonna be big!
