Has coming to Prince.org changed my opinion of Prince?
NO, it hasn't; it's a great site - I appreciate the opportunity to read people's opinions & to express mine. But it hasn't influenced my opinion of Prince. Prince, to me, is a great person, a great artist, a great spiritual being. My opinion of him has been enhanced by my experiences at Paisley Park, by sharing stories with other fams who love & respect him, by meeting some of his staff and band members & hearing words of appreciation for him, etc. ***PEACE, HARMONY, AND FUN*** | |

No, my opinion of him hasn't changed since joining the Org. It has changed the way I view his fans though.
I used to think I was a HUGE Prince fan. I had no idea there were people pondering his every single move, buying/collecting Prince stuff by the thousands, pouring more energy into hating him than I was digging him - go figure. What did the oh-so dedicated Nayers do before the internet? Bore their friends w/ this stuff 24/7?? What a sad existence... I remember flipping through a magazine @ work & coming upon an add for The Hits/B Sides - I was NUTS b/c I had no idea it was coming & I simply couldn't wait to purchase it. Finally, 17 Days ON DISK!!! No out-of-the-loop excitement like that now. Orgers spill it all, make up every possible rumor, over-analyze all possible clues, critique the friggin' artwork & slap a huge warning label on all items in P's To Do box - "This is gonna suck! He's ripping us off!" Things get killed before they have a chance to live & it's pretty sad. Now the real excitement only comes when it's concert time. I love reading the little tidbits I'd never get elsewhere, like the trip to the movies @ the Celebration & detailed concert reports. That's the Org at its best... No it hasn't the least. It's not like we're getting input from Prince himself. The org reflects the opinions of his fans and those who support his music, as well as a wealth of info on Prince musical career but not the man's personal life(although there are those who think they know the man personally). My opinion of Prince is solely based on him as a artist and my knowledge of his music. I do not know or claim to know him personally, so I have no opinion on him as a person. I simply have knowledge about the religious organization that he is now part of. Knowing that I would assume that he is a God-fearing man. | |

Yes, I became more distance for the one, because I'm seing tha things more realistic as I did before here online, in my dreamworld. Sincerly, I prefered my dreamworld! To the other I came Prince's music and fan community nearer, what I do appreciete infinitive. Also to see how fans do reflect theyr musician's music and how funky some of the have been and are, of course. It's relevant what I for life did and do learn.

I came into the org because I was tired of the cinism on amp!
I used to go there when the asskissers vs naysayers thing was at the top. Here I just found out that, thanx god there ARE other people I can share a perspective with. The thing I hated when I was a huge fan were the fans: does this match the contradiction of being a Prince hater/lover?
