Is Chaos and Disorder the only cd with no remixes? I totall misjudged Chaos and Disorder. I listened to it on full blast yesterday. I really dig this cd now.....I hated until yesterday. But I have a question. Were there any 12" remixes or extended versions done for any songs on this cd? I don't recall any. Other than prince's first release, would this be the only cd that has no 12" releases or mixes?

I just had a look at the UK CD Single for 'Dinner With Delores' and it's just the album versions of: 'Dinner With Delores', 'Had U' and 'Right The Wrong'.

I agree, for some reason when I first heard this collection, I did not really like it. I have been flipping between it and 3121 lately and I am finding that I think it is a great cd. I love it. I remember not liking Right the Wrong at all and now it is one of my favorites.

I really dig it. I always thought this was his worst cd but I don't think that now. He has no worst cd, at least not from my viewpoint.

For You, Dirty Mind, The Black Album, and Musicology (I think?) are the other albums with no extended versions or remixes. ...: s l o w l y c a n d l e b u r n s :...

Also: The Truth, One Nite Alone, and N.E.W.S. (as if that album wasn't extended enough) There actually is a NewPowerRadio remix of the song "Musicology", but I don't think it's an "official" one. Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

I did not realize so many projects have passed without remixes. Prince has changed.....and not for the better on the music side.

I would really be shocked if there weren't remixes happening on some of the 3121 tracks. Hopefully "Black Sweat" was an oversight. ...: s l o w l y c a n d l e b u r n s :...

I think there was a remix of Muse 2 The Pharaoh that was never released (did Mica Paris play it on Radio 2 once?). I've never actually heard it myself.

I never understood why there had to be a remix of any song.
Wasn't it good enough the first time?

Wasn't it good enough the first time? That isn't the point of a remix.

What about the (official) "Disco Mixes" of "Soft And Wet" and "Just As Long As We're Together"?

Oh, I agree with that... I generally think "extended" when we're talking Prince remixes... that's all that depresses me, I want them longer. And I think "Black Sweat" could have gotten much more interesting with a full-band back half or some other unexpected change halfway through an eight-minute mix... like a sick, cold chicken scratch over new verses with horns. Wait. That was "Kiss" I guess. ...: s l o w l y c a n d l e b u r n s :...

First of all, u're no longer on my Buddy List for the simple reason for actually liking this trashy ass album. Secondly, there were no remixes because this was a throwaway album for Prince. he didn't give a fuck about the album, it was just his final installment for his contract with the Warner Plantation. That's why he doesn't speak of this album, nor has he ever performed any songs from it outside of the mandated publicity junkett he was required to do. Prince doesn't give a shit about this album and it showed throughout the entire album. No cohesiveness, just some bullshit songs thrown together to obligate his deal with WB. Well, he definitely performed Zannalee outside of the publicity junketts, and I think it has some musically thematic cohesiveness (it's his 'rock' album) - but your point is still valid that this was an obligation album and he treated it as such.
