IDOL - Prince won't be on Just watched ET and the played a clip of the producer of IDOl who said (on the Ryan Seacrest show) that Prince was indeed in talks to appear but he did not want to speak/coach the 'kids'.
haha! Good! Hopefully he does some other tv appearence. | |

Ahem... FOUND THIS ON HOUSEQUAKE - Nigel Lythegoe, producer of AI was on KIIS FM this morning with Ryan Seacrest. He said that they were in negotiations with Prince to be a part of AI. The problem was that Prince just wanted to perform on the Wednesday results show and that was all he wanted to do period. AI wanted to devote an entire episode to Prince and his music and spend time with the contestants and share some of his experiences with them. Prince said he was too busy and that ended negotiations. Nigel went on to say that AI will not be used to promote someone's album to get it back to a number one position. As of today the Prince show will not be happening according to Nigel.
On a side note he said that Shakira who performed on last Wednesday's result show had promised to spend some time with the contestants, however, she left them waiting in a room for her and never showed up. In his words she couldn't get off her a** to meet the kids after promising to do so. I hate to admit it but I am an AI fan and would have loved to see a real musician show those kids what talent really looks like. Oh well probably for the best that it didn't happen. |
