Men - State Your Prince Guilty Pleasures

Songs that you love but would never listen to with your mates out of embarrassment

Naturally any ballad is not something you crank up with your buddies, but I mean songs that would especially get you some strange looks

I will go first (in no order)

Damn U
Silly Game
Strollin
Do U Lie
The Dance
Do Me Baby
Sensual Everafter

Sometimes It Snows In April

Some of my buds just won't listen to it. Period. I can put the heaviest song I can think of and they'll still make me change it. I guess they're just not as comfortable with their masculinity as myself. That's what I try to tell them too, but still, they just aren't having it. It's a shame really. Oh well, fug 'em.

My Love Is Forever....When he goes, "forever and ever and ever and ever and yeah!" before he rips into the guitar solo....that gets me every time. My buddies just wouldn't understand.

None, my friends and I listened to them all. Espec the ballads.

My friend would make a all star ballad tape, and we would play it on the double dates. The girls would always be like what the hell is this crap?!

It was always sweet though, because by the time the tape was over they were like what song was that? wink

"You gonna catch me dead before you catch me doing anything other than the jughead...N.....P.....G"

Oh yes I love this song especially where Prince bites off of Bell Biv Devoe that's my favorite part!

I remember way back in the day listening to the Batman soundtrack and when Arms of Orion came on my buddies were like,
"What the f--- is this crap?" and t, I have to say, they were right. Never liked it since.
Although I do have to say I did hear it once last year in my car (on my own) and I started singing along.
Man is that song embarassing!
I'm testing postive 4 the funk

I remember a friend who didn't really understand my Prince fascination-appreciation. I took him to a concert and he saw all the beautiful women and I think he started to somewhat get it.

...Just as Long as We're Together, My Love is Forever, Private Joy.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

Graffiti Bridge (the song), and i REALLY dont feel guilty about it.

Of course, in some ways its a cheesy song, corny lyrics, something to end an broadway musical with (should that matter, by the way?)
bot on the other hand:

The arrangement of this song is great, the mixture of interweaving vocals, guitar and orchestra sending shivers trough my spine every time i listen to this song

The guitar soloing is really top notch, people who praise live renditions of Fury and While my guitar gently weeps should just listen to this song

This song has a great melody, 90 percent of Princes songs since 1995 are lacking one.

Shoo-Bed-Ooh

I keep trying to figure out what's so bad about it, and why it's so hated. I don't get it. It's a catchy song.
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

"You still wanna take me to prison...just because I won't trade humanity for patriotism."

My Love Is 4ever "Never ever stop lovin' you, Never ever get enough of you..."

EEk!!! And the fact that I can quote those lyrics off the cuff... I should revoke myself!

But hey, the truth is I JAM that song when I'm in the ride by myself...then I rip into my patented air guitar guitar
