Pressing curly/kinky hair is achieved by combing the hair with a heated comb. The straightening is only temporary. Once water hits the hair or the hair is exposed to humidity, it reverts back to its naturally curly/kinky state.



The reason why I say that he presses his hair is due to many performance pictures of P where it looks like his hair had started to revert due to sweating.

For someone who has been relaxing their own hair for as long as Prince has been been on the music scene, I can guarantee you, his hair is not pressed. Back during the late 70's maybe but after 1980...hell to the naw!
