Anyone still dig the song "Push"?

Its still pretty funky, and tony does sound good on it. I dig that they all take parts of rapping in the end.

"push (i push)". Its got great energy.

"prince, get on the mic!"

Its a good energy rush, thats 4 sure. I guess as rnb changes, so does Prince. But this is more of a jam to me then black sweat. I get a great urgency to dance to this one if i play it on my headphones on the bus lol

It's my favorite song on the album. However, I usually play something else once the rapping parts start.

It was great to hear Prince do an uptempo dance song in his falsetto again. He had stopped doing it as much during that time except for some of the slow jams. Hell, when I first got into Prince he was all falsetto so that's one of the things I think of when I think of the word "Prince". lol

To be honest, i dont like prince's very early records, thats ur area of rnb LOL. My era is his newjack influenced stuff he did off "graffiti bridge" "d and p" and even "symbol". Prince's dance tracks are always more then ur standard artists rnb track, but u know Prince gets influences.

I guess u like the early pre "1999" stuff as thats proberly more influenced by people like rick james right? 1999 is the jump off for me, and all the time records of course. 1999, to me, sounds so much better then the stripped, new wave ish "dirty mind". "dirty mind" is too raw, and if anything, underproduced.
