First of all, let me say that I'm new 2 the forum. I've read some topics but not many. So, I apologize if there was already a thread asking the same question.

On the 1st disc of 'Ultimate', are most of the songs the original album versions or radio edits like usual? I would love 2 have a remastered version of the 'When Doves Cry' album version as well as some of the other tracks.

If possible, could someone provide me with the times of those songs?

Some of the songs, on disc 1, are cut short like radio edits. But you don't buy Ultimate for disc 1.Disc 2 is why we get it.

Sad to say, "When Doves Cry" on the first disc is the edit. Honestly, I heard things on this remastered version that I didn't hear before and I am really ticked that it's not the full version.

But I agree with Althom. . .you get the set for the second disc. . .except for "Raspberry Beret" [not as clear as the others, but still great] it is incredible! "U Got The Look [Long Look]" sounds so flippin' clear!

Strangely enough Controversy is not the edit version.

Is it better to get Ultimate because of th 2 disc or The Hits the B sides because of the third disc? I mean I get The Hits separately without the B sides. Should I buy the entire set or get Ultimate?

Boy u need the b sides and disc 2 of ultimate. these are must haves for any

Songs like "17 Days" and "Irresistible Bitch" to name just two are absolutely worthy to have and this is the only CD release to collect them (the only letdown of the disc is missing the "Parade" era B-Sides).
