Big deal, I see him wearing Arabic clothes, put some Arabic rythem and even writing Arabic lyrix in his music but that doesn't count at all.

Well, as of lately, who knows. But, if the church he goes to is anything like alot of churches around here, they are probably preaching about the "evil terrorism of Islam". I, for one, believe that God is God. There is only one Creator, and we are all from the Creator. Some view the Creator as just a source of neverending energy, some view the Creator as God or Allah, or Yahweh, some say Christ, Holy Spirit, and God, all 3 in one. However people view it, it should be a personal relationship not to be judged by others as right or wrong, even if they choose to believe in no God. If Prince is who I think that he is, and Larry Graham is who I think that he is, they don't judge people about how or who people worship, as long as they are peaceful and love one another.

Peace,

JD

I DO think that Prince is an open-minded brotha who look at the bright side and whats behind the scene rather than looking at some media who tells one side of the story and hid the other. I'm just intristed on his thoughts on us thats all. George Michael is taking that route lately.

BTW I thought that Prince is a Jehova Witness not Christian eek!

Well, it depends on the church. Some don't classify themselves as "Christians", but they still believe in Jesus Christ as the savior of the world. There are major differences though. Anything is better than the Jerry Falwells and Benny Hinns of the world...lol

I don't know how Prince feels about "Islam" but I do know that he has alot of respect for Mother Tynetta Muhamad (Wife of the late Elijah Muhamad) from the Nation of Islam. In 2000 he had her at PP for a full tour, and He also dropped $50,000 on Minister Farrakhan to help pay for the Million Family March...

The Final Call (The official Newspaper of the Nation) did a 3 part series on Prince and his music. You can probably find it in the archives of the final call..Look under Mother Tynetta's articles which are usually under the heading "Unveiling the #19" and type in Prince. The articles were published in the summer of 2000...I hope that helps...

JW's are not Jews. They're Jehovah's Witnesses. And I believe Jews do indeed address God as God, because they believe his name is sacred, and thus shouldn't be said/written.

Wait...You said Jesus. Jews don't believe in Jesus the way Christians do. They believe Jesus was a man, and they're still waiting on their Messiah, if memory serves me correctly.

As for what Prince things of Muslims and so on rolleyes He prolly thinks they should all believe what he believes, and be devout little Jehovah's Witnesses.

Well, as muslims we too don't adress Jesus as GOD. Jesus is a prophet or a 'massenger'. Anyway, I thought that JWs are a divided group from The Jews, just like Christians and their groups. We too have our divided groups but they're nothing like the Christians or The Jews.

About JWs, Who's their God? Jehova smile?? Man, I get mixed up everytime I discuss these things. Ok and about The Jews, who's there god?? Abraham??

Judaism is subdivided, but JW's are not a part of that subdivision.

Prince also recorded a song called 'Muhammad Ali', which was an 'Emancipation' outtake.

That's a good question. Knowing the nature of religion and its historic tradition of general intolerance, I'd guess that he undoubtedly thinks they are WRONG, but probably don't deserve to die for it.

Just a guess, obviously.

Another way to ask that would be "what does Islam think of HIM?"
