Favorite album ending

Now we've done the beginning, what's your favorite album closing? Not so much the song, but the way the album as a whole ends.

I love the close of I'm Yours, Sometimes It Snows In April, Positivity, The Sacrifice of Victor, Gold, Had U, and The Last December.

What's your favorite ending? Why?

The Black Album...cool sounds, and Prince goes "What kinda fuck ending was that?!"

"temptation" from around the word in a day is my absolute favorite...

it just has everything in it... prince's voice is all over the place from loud to soft, high and low... the bass is heavy as hell.. the screaching guitars and wailing sax...

everytime i hear that song, i just have to sit in silence or play it again...

that song couldn't have come anywhere on the album but the end... if it had been any earlier, i would never have listened to any of the songs that followed it...

ahhh... tempatation... big grin

all my fingers in the pool go splash we must... cool

The ending of Lovesexy, but only because of the beginning of Lovesexy. It opens with the sound of water, and ends with the sound of fire.

I can also imagine, that some people HATED the ending of ATWIAD at the time that that was his latest release, because it stated: "...I have to go now, I don't know when I'll return". Kinda makes you worry about future albums.

LoL...I agree, and I laughed when the CD faded back in to have Prince/Camille toss out that line...lol lol

I'll also nominate "Had U" at the end of Chaos & Disorder

'International Lover' closing out '1999' and 'Partyup' from 'Dirty Mind'

"You're gonna have to fight your own damn war, because we don't wanna fight no more".

Classic.

The party up sequence is a classic and it works great. That's why ,although cliche, it is used in some remixes at the end. We did arrow what mix?

I totally agrea...one of the best endings. When I read the question, the first thing that came to mind was Temptation. It makes you want more and keeps you wondering what comes next and when it will come. I get totally blown away by that song.

It's Gonna Be Lonely-I love this album and i just thinkit's the perfect close.
Purple Rain-the way it extends at the end and slowly fades.
Sometimes It Snows In April-a time to reflect after all the uptempo /playful mood.
Gold-the breakdown at the end is a great exit.
"Pam...that's just stupid."

Hey this a cool and different topic! Thanks! smile

Temptation - ATWIAD. Great ending "I have to go now, I don't know when I'll return. Goodbye." It was Prince keeping you guessing, I loved it. The song is everywhere. It incorporates "Purple Rain" Prince with "ATWIAD" Prince!

Last December - TRC. The album was everwhere and this song was no exception! It starts out a point "A" and ends up at "Z". An incredible song to an awesome album, what a build up.

Purple Rain - It's a classic. I love the keyboards that just would not end. Almost like it was hard to end the album.

Welcome 2 the dawn - the Truth. Just perfect for an album that we were all waiting for: Prince accoustic! Play this one at my funeral!!!
"So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

Yes! Very calming.

I also like the strings on Purple Rain & the show stopping Last December.

He really knows how to go out with a bang, or cool bubbling sounds biggrin

Definitely Adore. That whole song...you know, when it ends...it sounds like everything is said. The horns, the voices...like there is only you and your beloved one left.

That is a masterpiece.
