this was standard fare as well though..most who reach th e top of th e music heap will experience a backlash like clockwork...not saying he wasnt self obsessed etc...but which rock star isnt? [b]My how times have changed... Now Prince can barely sell more records than Huey Lewis and he is still perceived as a self-obsessed,stuck up rock star who only cares about himself. Dont get it too twisted now...if Prince was still a part of the machine then he would sell more than Huey lol. And the flop of Rave isnt somehting to judge his possible sales since everyone can have flops , even numerous flops. All that has to be in play is the zeitgeist. "Climb in my fur."

I wonder what all those singers and musicians did after the recording of that song to help people? I mean real concrete activism? They were so proud of themselves back then. Judging by the condition of the continent of Africa today, I'd say what James would say "Ya just talkin loud and saying nothing". Who is SweeTea?

The We Are The World recording session was a joke. The money they spent on food that night would have fed the people they where singing for, for at least 4 months. The song was cheesy as hell too. I always thought Prince did the right thing for not going. He's done much for charity on his own.
