Prince Raps I know some of you hate when Prince raps, but I kind of like it. I was listening to the Gold cd this morning, and Prince raps on the song "P Control" in a voice similar to the one he does "Lolita"..I find it kinda fun to listen to, especially when he says the word "clear-ah" (IN p-cONTROL). I was also listening to the Black album, and on Dead On it, he says, "the only good rapper is a dead one....on it"...with that in mind..do you think the song/rap "My Name is Prince" was done tongue in cheek?...ie..just a good on some of the bravado diplayed in rap at that time?

i like it when Prince raps to.
Acknowledge me is one of my favourites. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

His rapping in 'Come On (remix)' and '18 and over' is good. The Jamaican style rap in 'the soon, moon and the stars' is hilarious!

Prince rapping can often be hilarious--"when it comes to funk, I am the chunky"...indeed--but usually his guest rappers are way worse. I have deleted "Mr. Happy" from my memory banks. If I never hear rap in another Prince song I would be a-ok with that.

Ah, Prince raps are one of my very favourite things! Love it! He sounds so cool, slick, non-ghettoish that it just makes me interested.

He has improved a lot over the years. I think he sounds pretty good when he does his thing on Incense & Candles.

On some of his songs his rapping is not that bad. He can pull it off ok, as long as it fits with the beat of the music. I cannot see him doing a rap album. He is no rapper. We all know that. I do think that over the years he does sound like he is finally getting the hang of it. I like his rap on Incense & Candles it's cool.
