The Prince Way I have noticed that when Prince does pretty good with an album, by the time he is on tour he has another one in the wings. I think he really gets into being on top. When his music doesn't chart well, he kind of mopes around for years.
I predict Prince will perform a couple songs from the next album once he hits the road.

I predict Prince will perform a couple songs from the next album once he hits the road. I've always believed that.

I think that's especially true in a case like this, where 3121 is an album he's been working on, to some degree, since the Musicology tour, where he played an early version of Black Sweat. I'm sure he has at least one other album that could be put out now, but he'll wait at least until the end of this year.

It seems no matter what happens with the music he releases, there ALWAYS seems to be another project in the works or on the way out.. What is the longest period in between releases? 1 year? Maybe a year and half?

Well he's human. When you're not as successful in your business during a period doesn't it mess with your self esteem?

If Prince is going to keep his word about not playing the hits anymore in
concert (skeptical from the get-go), he sure as hell better have some STRONG ass songs to pull from....MUSICOLOGY and 3121 qualify. I predict at least two more OUTSTANDING Cd's next, to build up the young fanbase...and then it's whatever he wants to do. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Yes, Prince is mortal. He probably gets cranky like any of us when the job stresses him out. I wonder what he does to calm his nerves... Maybe goes swimming in his vault of priceless outtakes, like Scrooge McDuck.
