i think 3121 is produced excellently, in contrast 2 some of the views on this site. does any 1 out there think there was any additional input production wise from outside, or is this a pure Prince thang?

i don't mean 2 diss Prince in any way, but it's been a while since his songs work so smoothly next 2 each other.

i also want 2 add that tamar does wonders 2 his music. in my opinion, prince has never taken full advantage of the voices around him. no matter who its been, their voices have always played in the background in relation 2 his own...

...but if u dig how he's used Tamar...he's really put her voice out there in the front. it works really well. if he could share more in this way...his music could go further.

The Production is actually very Poor.

I'm sure. I have a few good CD players, and I bought noise reduction headphones.

On several of the songs, the vocals are taken over, played under, the music.

Prince seemed to choose to put some "crackeling" sounds as though it was an LP.

Much of the muisc is retro "uncreative"

Tried to play this on my CD discman at the YMCA. Could not get the volume to a suitable level, hard to hear with background noise of people working out. This is not the case with most CDS. Other than that the production sounds lush and lively mostly. Will refrain from commenting on Fury guitar
