Prince is focused on the tour.
Universal will be responsible for continuing with the promotion.
Prince has another project "TAMAR".
He's happy with the number 1 album, but I don't think he cares how it does from this point.

Prince released the album to good reviews, some bad. He didn't even promote the project! He sold a good 2 or 3 million and moved on to the next and that will be the Tour and Tamar!

We will see a couple more videos, but don't expect no extensive promotion to carry the album further than what it has so far.

I love you, but I just don't get your method of marketing records!

ATWD was released at a different time in Princes career. He could have put out music with lyrics sung in pig latin and it would have sold 2 or 3 million..he still had the Purple Rain aura going.

I haven't heard a thing about a tour..

either prince is INTENSELY rehearsing his band for a new tour right now, or else he's already bored with 3121 and is focusing on tamar and whatever his next thing is gonna be. but really, i don't think we've even seen a pinprick of what he has in store for us with this album/tour.

He's on to something else!
Prince will tour and he will release more videos, but he's definitely not worried about where this album is on the charts and by the end of the tour, he will be 2-3 million copies sold!

Unless you're Warhol and marketing is a part of the work itself, it can become a celebration of numbers more than a celebration of content. In Prince's case, especially, it becomes evident how great a force that marketing monster is...even over the art itself. To the purist, concerned with having the art "be free' from all that, it's a reminder that it really isn't.

with all these marketing gimmicks, prince is gonna become known as the william castle of music soon.

I wish Prince would do SOMETHING. He's spending too much time dealing with Tamar and yet he's neglecting his own project. This ain't cool at all. Hell Universal isn't doing enough either. Why didn't I hear about the Purple Ticket thing on all the newscasts? Somebody's fucking up.

I think that Prince is far beyond this "3121"... think about it the fisrt time that that the idea of "3121" appeared to the public was in during NAACP image award performance back in August 2005 on the back of his outfit, the same outfit on the album cover. We all know Prince does push an project, but I'm sure that there's new stuff he wants to leak out somehow or somewhere. Don't get me wrong I think that "3121" is a cool collection of songs, but it's a safe way to get everyone to think Prince. Now that he has got the attention of so many people from the average person with television stop through such the Grammies with Beyonce all the way to the SNL performance in Feb 2006.Prince has really shown the masses that he can always impact the music world.We all know that there is no middle ground with Prince, he always working towards something new... and this "3121" along with "Musicology" is paving and reintroducing Prince to the a whole new audience. Don't be shocked if the next album is the real Prince album that the true Prince listeners want! As far as Tamar goes time will only tell... she does have a great voice & the live performance is really hot, maybe we should just take her for a Prince project because we have not seen her own her own without him. So at this point it very hard to tell.
