i remember being sure that it was prince in drag, and not being fazed by it in the least because...well...it's prince.

annie lennox dressed like a guy, boy george dressed like a girl...why couldn't prince do a pic in drag? it was the '80s. gender bending was "in".

then when i first started seeing pics of cat, i started having doubts...still, even though everyone says it IS cat, she sure has some muscular limbs in that photo.

It's Prince being gender bending (if not him in person); nothing new for him (wasn't that what Controversy was all about?). He's more into double drag; a guy dressing like a girl who is dressing like a guy.... There was nothing better than the dark gown and pearls he wore for the photo shoot for the Vibe(?) Gold Experience album review; I had that matted and framed. The red suit on the cover of Esquire was a close second for all time greatest outfits & coifs.

I thought it was Prince at first, too. Then, when I realized it was a woman, I remember staring at it long enough where I thought I could almost make out Cat's nipples through that peach colored material.
