Diamonds & Pearls (the album) hit #1

According to Per Nilsen, and the folks who make the Uptown books, Diamonds and Pearls was Prince's last to hit #1.

I think it peaked at number 3...definitely not a number 1 album.

Can you get me proof on that? I went to Billboard.com and they skip from Graffiti Bridge to 0(+> when listing his albums.

According to Uptown's The Vault, D&P peaked at #3 on the Billboard Charts and #1 on the Rnb charts as newpower99 said. Perhaps it wasn't made clear in other Uptown publications.

Who cares if D&P hit number one? What does it prove? Oh wait, Skywalker, that's your thread about 3121... lol

Diamonds And Pearls definitely peaked at number three on Billboard's Pop albums charts and #1 on the R&B chart. Per Nilson was incorrect if he stated otherwise.
