I didn't know how else to phrase it! I didn't know that Olga Karlatos (Prince's mother in Purple Rain) is the same famous Olga that had her eye "splintered out" by a flesh-eating zombie in Lucio Fulci's 1979 gore-fest Zombi 2. The most gruesome, uncomfortable scene in the whole movie (the zombie fighting the shark underwater was 2nd!). I just rented that movie from netflix last week and went to imdb and clicked her name and surprise surprise, it took me to my favorite movie "Purple Rain"! My goodness! No wonder I didn't recognize her! Purple Rain was the last movie she appeared in, she was on an episode of Miami Vice in 1986 (as well as Vanity appeared on one also)! IMDB says this:

"Clarence Williams III and Olga Kartalos were the only two professional actors in the entire cast." But didn't Prince ever win any awards for his potrayal of The Kid in this movie?

Also she was born in 20 April 1947 in Athens Greece, Prince was born on 7 June 1958. His "mom" was only 11 years older than him in the movie? Did you all know that then or now? Why would they cast her? You'd never know she was just 11 years older than "the Kid"! Now who's idea was that? Maybe Prince is secretly a big Zombie movie fan!
