In hindsight, the woman battering isn't funny. Morris throwing the girl in a dumpster was harsh too, but 1984 was a different time. Sure, it probably wouldn't have been anywhere near as succesful, but even with the so-so acting, I think the whole package would've been a lot better. But I supposse alot of female mindes are warped and twisted! This is totally true. Of course in the, "real world," I would not condone violence towards women. However, people feel the emotions that they feel. If one thing makes you feel hot it is a negative thing to repress this emotion because you feel that it is wrong. Obviously there is a line between the fantasy and what you would like to experience with a real sexual partner. I would hate to think, however, that my emotions were confused with my attitude towards the respect that women should be granted. I would like to think that saying that something is hot, to me, does not make me look like a pathetic victim who is helping to promote misogyny. This is a tricky subject, the fine line between desire and what is politically correct. Is the answer to keep your feelings to yourself? | |
