No..I wouldn't go. Even if he throw a concert for a hour I wouldn't go. Cause the concert would surely come at the cost of him and Larry preaching. And I really couldn't stomach that.

I was thinking the same thing, that the addition to PP is some religious building. But, I think that Mani and Larry and the JWs just might influence Prince to move further and further away from the music and the people. There has been no additional work done on the building and Prince moved to Toronto. | |

Prince has been preaching for years, trying to balance religion with his music, trying to bring sumthing worthwhile to his audience. Like you, I do not really understand his recent fascination with a certain kind of religion, but at least give him some respect for trying to share with you what is important to him. TRC is not an album that has staying power for me, but it has for many others here. His preaching DOES reach some of the old and draws in some new. Prince's music is like the ocean, it reaches you like the tide. I just miss the days that he could draw me in with simple words, not accusations. I believe in Purple Rain, silly me. In the picture of Paisley park he sketched in the song, not the fleshed out version of it. The god he wants me to worship is just not MY god. But he still plays good music. I would have loved to see and hear him doing Strange Relationship... lately I feel that song is about Prince and the way I think about his music... | |
