what the general feeling about this song.

There is not one thing I don't like about it. Even Mayte doesn't annoy me on *THIS* one.

Continental is one of my favorites! Glad to see others dig it too.

I play it alot, its such a cool and fun groove.

1st 3 or 4 times I heard it it was like this huge musical blur that I couldnt get into , then suddenly everything gelled and I love it now , superb funk rock.

Sorry but for me the Continental is lame. The music is straightforward and uninspired, the tune is instantly forgettable or mistaken for someone else's song. The Max is a similar tune and its on the same album....deeply dissappointing.

I always like the Symbol Album, there is so many great tracks on their, unfortunately after the success of Diamonds and Pearls, Warner gave P to much free reign on his next release, so what did prince do, put interludes with Kirsty Alley on there. This completely destroys the flow of the album IMHO. One day I am going to burn a copy of Symbol without interludes, 'Sweet Baby','I wanna melt with u','arrogance'and 'The flow'.

Just thinking about it, gotta burn this tonight, great music!!!

Great song But the whole album is great.
