Just read the Housequake Thread. So the SONGS from the VAULT are REALLY KILLER! OH MY GOD PRINCE! Baby Man.....Oh he wasn't LYING Cause these songs are Best in YEARS. I just hear alot of Lovesexy in this album and also around his COME On or NPG. It's SUPER....Oh this TOUR this YEAR I think is GONNA BE BETTER than MUSICOLOGY for HARDCORE FANS 4 SURE. He's gotta PROMOTE Cause this is SUCH a WINNER! Oh BOY I hope PEOPLE not just his HARDCORE FANS BUY this cause it's so Really WONDERFUL. I feel so Happy listening to this album. No, I do not think they are all new. Likewise, I didn't think
Musicology was all new either. But I think 3121 could be newer
then Musicology.

I get a Lovesexy, 1999 and Emancipation vibe throughout the CD. There may be more but that's what hits me.

I have to be honest. I'd be saddened if most of these songs were more than a year or a year and a half old.

One reason I love 3121 is because to me it signals Prince's current ability create masterfully infectious pieces. If these are mostly warmed over, man...

I've thought that some of the songs could be older ones from first listen. 3121 hit me straight away as sounding like something from the Undertaker period. I know Michael B has stated that it was recorded in October last year but it could have existed in one form or another before then. It might just be that it has an Undertaker vibe to it due to Michael and Sonnys involvement though.

I would say that The Word is definately more than a couple of years old purely because of the lyrics. What is this new exhaltation? Well, it's certainly nothing new, Prince has been with the JW's for a year now and this track could have easily been written about the time of the Rainbow Children or earlier.

Love, especially the start of it, sounds to me a lot like it would have fit on disc 3 of Emancipation.

The Dance is obviously an older track dating to at least the NPGMC version and probably older. Maybe it's about Mayte and the split? He doesn't want to see her dance again because he'll fall back in love with her?

Just a few theories there.
