Some people (myself included) thinks NEWS is one of the best things he's ever done. Others think its utter crap.
I think with Rainbow and NEWS Prince was on a musical resurgence.
Musicology and 3121 (mostly) were paint by numbers and nothing really that challenging and that's OK, I just prefer substance not comfort.

Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

The most recent two albums are probably more listenable, but the former two challenge me more from an artistic standpoint. When it boils down to it, I guess I'd take substance over comfort.
