I think there are definately hidden/confusing Messages within
the Songs. One thing that I noticed, is that not all the Lyrics are written in the Pamplet, and sometimes the Pamplet has different Lyrics then the actual Audio and visa versa.

Isn't it obvious?
3121 refers to the address of Prince's LA mansion. An address tells you were a place is located (e.g. the office is located at 18 Rose Street). So an address can also be seen as directions. But directions to what? The music ofcourse! On the disc it says "3121 The Music". So 3121 tells us where something is located in the music. The next part is pretty obvious. Directions in music must be a track number or minutes:seconds, or a combination of both. Let's try the minutes:seconds theory. What do you find at 31:21 minutes and seconds into the disc? Well, if you go 31 minutes and 21 seconds into the disc you find yourself at track 8 (Fury) at 3:20 into the song. What at 3:20 minutes and seconds in Fury? "Rose to a thorn" Now I've figured out the first part, I'll leave it up to someone else to figure out was "rose to a thorn" means. We could be on the something. Then again, my theory could be rubbish and all this could've (and probably was) a huge waste of time. But I'm bored, so I through "why not?" and gave it a go. It is interesting that I actually found something at 31:21 into the disc. But what does "rose to a thorn" mean how can it help us solve the mystery of 3121? I've been thinking and all I can come with at the moment is that in the song Fury, Prince uses a lot of famous literary phrases from history (e.g. “there aint no fury like a woman scorned” comes from “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”, a quote made famous by William Congreve). “Rose to a thorn” sounds like something else that may have historical reference to a famous play or poem. Does anyone know anything about the origin of this phrase? Is it another Congreve phrase? [Edited 3/28/06 19:41pm]

You can hear a woman moaning in Fury around 50 seconds. When Prince says "Y'all musta dug it when you did your thing"

That would be so cool! But if it does, then it must be another clue .... The other album purported to link exactly to the Wizard of Oz is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. I don't have it on CD and am too lazy to go get out the vinyl (!), so someone else will have to take the flight-of-fancy, time-waster fantasy conspiracy theory thing to its next ridiculous conslusion. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

I've done it with DSOTM - it works! Someone try it with 3121 and report back! Remember, you gotta start it just as the lion roars - and don't forget to set your cd player on repeat!!!

does it really matter?
I mean, it would be one thing is there was one on TRC.. since it was a bit of a mysterious sounding album (at times).. but this is like finding meaning in a Usher album... [Edited 3/28/06 22:16pm]

here's the solution. H = 1 W = 2 Y = 3 . Makes a lot of sense...but would probably seriously spoil my enjoyment of the song as a party song.... I mean, if that isn´t religious propaganda . It´s cool with me that he´s a Jehova´s Witness, but using cryptic numerology and probably make his fans sing along "Jehovah, Jehovah" (=3121) would be a bit in bad taste because that´s not the way to go, and I´m sure most JWs would agree on this. Then again , it´s only speculation, and up to now I really love the title track. I can only hope that you´re wrong. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
