Prince has YET to Go Back to ACTING. He Can and I think he Can PROVE IT and Have a SERIOUS ROLE THIS TIME. He has MOTOWN/UNIVERSAL to HELP HIM.....

Do we really wanna se him act in a movie again?...

UUUuuuuummmmm....No.

I am not so keen on Prince in the movies, because he just isnt a good actor, in terms of well....acting.

Purple Rain was bearable because of the concert performances and the emotions evoked by the music combined with the story. I mean, the story on itselve is just a representation of the 'american dream', very predictible, but because of the great music it somehow made a 'click'.

Under the cherry Moon was bearable because of the nice art direction, the tastefull black and white photography and ...the music, not because of Princes or Jeromes acting.

Sign of The Times was splendid because of the music, and because Prince seems to know how to 'act' / provoke emotions when performing live (probably because there he is in his element, face it, he is firstmost a musician, no actor).

Graffiti Bridge was very weak, almost laughable, because of the poor acting, the cardboard buildings, the lip-synching, the lack of an interesting story.
Too unconvincing and too unfunny to even call it 'camp'.

Even in his most of his musicvideo's Prince is annoying me often, because his 'acting' so weak, off the spot. Moviewise the place where Prince most seems in his element is on a live-stage, performing his music, acting along a bit. So, i wouldnt mind another concertmovie, but please no toecurling 'regular' acting from Prince for me

He made the same movie 3 times, NO, I dont' want to see him attempt another movie... The movie that he could maybe do well, is an autobio, or another concert movie..

That definitely will not happen now. Maybe when he like in his 70's he'll let them do a story of his life.

Why should Prince be in a movie with a "serious role"?

Prince is a man of many talents. He is a fantastically incredible musician. Dovetailing with that, he can also craft beautiful lyrics, so he obviously has talent with the written word.

So with all the talent he'd already displayed and proven, why isn't that enough for some people? Why would he need to be "an actor" as well (whether or not he has a natural talent for it, I won't get into)? I don't get understand this weird mentality that just because someone is talented in one area, they should get involved in another field too. i.e. actor-to-musician, musician-to-actor, etc.

Prince is a musician. A GREAT musician. Accept that and be happy for the talent he shares with you that way.

How about a reality show? Couldn't you just see him doing a cross between American Idol, American's Next Top Model and Flavor of Love?

I've only seen Purple Rain and small bits of another. Wasn't he playing himself or something near to himself in these movies? (I may be wrong). If so, I'm sure it's way harder to do that. With a good role and the right director, yes he could do another film. It would be cool if he had a part in a film...not necessarily a Prince film...and stole the movie. I can see that happening. Especially since no one expects it..

if anything - it should be a cameo in someone else's movie. Like a Spike Lee joint or somethin...
