I want a PRINCE MOVIE O.K, so I rented Walk The Line this past weekend and was watching it (not a bad flick, tho Im not a Johnny Cash fan) and the whole time Im thinking to myself will we ever see a film about Prince's life/career?
I've seen some cheesy ones made about Little Richard and even M.J., but what about a full blown, major motion picture epic about P and his life? I mean like Walk the Line or Ray! I know he would not allow it now, but after he passes, maybe? Imagine it,,it would show him as a child teaching himself to play piano, his struggles w/his parents and being bounced around from home to home. How he meets fellow musicians of the minneapolis sound. THe women and how he treated them, his rise to stardom, fight w/WB, tragedy of his son's death, conversion to JW. It could be a grand movie and hell, the soundtrack is taken care of! We can only dream..... Stand Up! Everybody, this is your life!

I love to see a bio movie too.
For it to be anything but a white wash of his life, Prince would have to be dead. I don't think for one moment he'ld let anything uncomplimentary every be released. No More Haters on the Internet.

Think about what you just said...that the movie in essence would be uncomplimentary. How could you know that? Perhaps it might be complimentary, depending on who's writing it, directing it, etc. Look at "La Bamba" about Richie Valens, or...or....or....

I would love to see a behind the scenes documentary, including live performances of the upcoming tour. In order to be effective it would have to be directed by a third person. Not sure Prince would be on board with that.

Just kidding, I dont want P dead, but I think that if he could lay aside his pride and just be honest with himself, maybe he could co-produce a movie and give great input and insight. Think of the money he could make if it is as good as RAY. I already thought of a title: My name is Prince and Iam Funky. Can any 1 think of a better title? Stand Up! Everybody, this is your life!

We had this movie. It was called something like "Purple Rain". It was way ahead of its time and they even had Prince play himself, imagine that no less!

Illustrator said: "Dat Skinny Muthafucka Wit' A High Voice" Okay that officially wins. It's in the same vein as "Snakes on a Plane!" People will love it just because of the title. "See any good movies this weekend?" "Yeah, I saw Dat Skinny Muthafucka Wit' A High Voice." "Oh cool? What was it about?" "A skinny muthafucka with a high voice."

I think a movie of his life @ this point is too much, too soon, too weird...
or maybe just too much eye makeup to handle in a single film

A movie depiction of Prince's life would certainly be wonderful news to about 20,000+ unemployed bimbo-type actresses looking for gigs as extras!
J/K Really, it would be great news to only about 15,000.
