Just been listening to When the lights go down from The Vault-his vocals remind me so much of Bronski Beats Jimi Somervilles,anyone else notice this?I know its a bizarre comparison.

Yes Mick it is the same and Jimi Somerville was quite famous in the '80's,Scottish I think and openly gay band.

I'm ot familiar with that singer but "When Lights Go Down" is one of my favorite songs. Anybody have a clue when it was recorded?

I have no idea who Bronski Beats Jimi Somervilles is. Sorry. I do love WTLGD though. I'd love to hear him do it live.

According to Uptown's The Vault, It isn't known where and when "When The Lights Go Down" was recorded.

So that clears that up.
