Is it just me or does I&C have the same melody as Taste My Ice Cream by JS...slap me if im wrong but i swear this is a take off that song with a substantial upgrade musically.....? Say it aint so....

I quite like it, it's awright, inoffensive, soulful and easy. No big shakes, I agree, but harmless!

I am sure that there are some that like this song as much or more than any song on 3121. Personally, it's ok.

Maybe its plagarisin, but he makes it his own and unique with Prince lines like "Pyramids of sand", it smooth and flowy and a good introduction of Tamar's unique vocals to the album.

Don't care much for "Incense and Candles" or "Love". The former reminds me of some song by the late Aliyah. Not that she was bad..she wasn't. But I can just see the damn video for this song. There's Aliyah dancing and then some rapper comes in and throws in his part. In this case it's Prince who's doing the "rap". Not a horrible song..but not Prince IMHO. Or maybe a throw away Prince song he ends up giving to someone else.

As for "Love"; it just starts out to much like some song that Britney would do to me. (after the Prince scream) Maybe it's just because she did a song Prince would have done; and now Prince is doing Britney doing Prince. It's got some good parts in there; but no.

Rest of album is great though.

I don't know about it sounding like 'Taste My Ice Cream'... but it does seam like every week we have a thread analyzing what song of Prince's sounds like another song... bringing up the same questions.. and putting them back into perspective with the same answers.

Perhaps. "The twins" resemble JS actually. You know Prince is paying attention to Da Kang of R&B's movements. Surprised Larry Graham wasn't given a pimped out Mr Biggs style comeback persona.
