The Dance is one of the best songs on the album, because it reminds me of his best 80's work, which is sorely lacking on the new album. At least he doesn't shine his dick on Pharrell's ass.

Devilstwin let me encourage you to think again why I don't like The Dance:

1. The Emancipation Melody that appears at the end and stays there blows. He's done it before, why the heck is he doing it again?
2. It is self-indulgent, just goes on and on about how he feels blahblah l: Prince is rarely at his best when he is so wrapped up in himself that he can't see withouth. A self-indulgent Prince = overworked music with no focus or wider meaning for his audience.

I can see why you like it..its a bit different, it has a nice ambience to it and the passion in it is very striking but the end product sounds like an Emancipation cast off and that whole record gave me the feeling of an artist with limitless potential shackled by his own anger, resentment and self doubt. And to quote from the Dance: I don't want to feel this way again.....

Nothing wrong with encouraging someone to listen to song again to see the beauty in it. Just don't call people negative because they stated their opinion and they might be willing to listen.
