on his daily radio show he was talking about knowing someone who was in Prince's "camp" I think during the "slave" days.

He was saying that its kind of insulting to refer to his feud as being a slave, considering its past affiliations.

One very interesting tidbit is this:

The "in" person said that Prince LITERALLY claims he has spoken with God.

Now maybe the person might have CONVEYED to Penn that Prince believes God "speaks" to him.

But according to Penn, the person said PRINCE ACTUALLY SAID that God spoke to him.

Penn was laughing about the camel in minnesota thing with Kevin Smith and said THAT's the way a true rock star is supposed to be, one that thinks anything should be possible.


Finally Penn said the world needs Prince's mental illness.

Penn Jillette is a professed (and quite militant) atheist, so anything he says publically regarding anyone's religious beliefs needs to be scrutinized...

I dont think Prince thinks he PHYSICALLY hears God's voice, but probably didnt care to explain precisely what he meant to the "flunky".

This is kinda dumb. Everyone knows that Kevin Smith takes artistic licence when he relays a story. He's a storyteller/comic. Listen to him talk about others where the exaggerations are even greater.

And about talking to God: We don't know the story so why speculate. Nor does that guy. What's the point of having a god if you can't talk to him/her/whatever? Regardless of what faith you are, if you're talking to god and he's not answering back/communicating (in some way) maybe you're just talking to a stone.

The only thing I talk to is my TV so I don't have these kinds of problems but when did it become a bad thing for a man to have a relationship with his god?

Alot people claim to have ACTUALLY SPOKEN TO GOD. Preachers say it every Sunday and people throw money at them.
