How many times have you listened to 3121 from beginning to end??

I have yet to listen to the whole album continuously; I've listened to tracks 1-4 with no problem, but I lose some interest after that and I would pause once in awhile as I listen to the rest. That I ain't good, me thinks. How about you?

All the way through, 5 times (in the last 27 hours) - but I also listened to it on random at the gym last night, as well as skipping around various tracks when I got home from work yesterday.

Only once so far today - after yesterday I thought I better slow down, so as not to get tired of it too quickly.

I'll give it a try. It's just that some of the latter songs are "preachy" and I can't stand them; also, they just sound derivative to me...

Your username, avatar and signature are all from "The Rainbow Children" but the 3121 tracks are "too preachy" to you?

confuse

Disclaimer: I'm a huge fan of TRC, but it's widely panned by fans who felt offended by what they perceived as hardcore preachiness. "The Word" and "Get on the Boat" are very tame by comparison.

Preachy? Get over it. If he was preachin about gettin laid I bet u wouldnt mind.
And your a Rainbowchild?
The Word is so fresh sounding and the words are not preachy at all, in fact, he is so smooth with his preaching that I can hardly tell and Im saved myself.

PhilBH

Let's see -

The CD arrived 10am Saturday (so that's around 4 and a half days)
It's 55min long
I need about 8 hours sleep, that leaves 16 waking hours
I have to turn it down once in a while to get some real work done
erm.... anyone good at Maths?

(((24x4.5)-(8x4.5)-n)*60) / 55 = 3121? confused

let's just say, a lot. I've probably already listened to it more than Musicology, NEWS and Xpectation combined.

A bunch of times. I've been listening to it all day. I did take a slight break to listen to The Dance on repeat about 10-12 times, then went back to listening to the entire album. biggrin

The Rainbow Children was a concept album and so I didn't mind that at all as it was "religious" throughout. 3121, however, was all over the place and those "preachy" songs were distracting to me.
