I prefer to wait for a used copy.

Because I received my copy the day before.

Because i bought mine 5 days before the release date.

Because I downloaded the album when it leaked and wasn't too impressed by it. I will buy it used or when the price drops, I think it's become more of a custom to always buy the new Prince album, but I don't think Prince needs my money that urgently as much as the lesser-known artists that I want to support instead.

I just got mine TODAY, and I LOVE it btw. Prince if your out there, I LOVE YOU the album is what I've been waiting for.....THANK YOU!!!!!

Anyways, I didn't get it yesterday, for one, because my hubby took MY car to work in the morning, THEN told me I couldn't drive his w/the kiddo's in it cuz the trannies goin'

How can leaked versions be any different from the actual releases these days when everything is passed on digitally anyway? It's not like anyone is making tape copies of them or anything...

Because I preordered it (i.e., bought the disc in advance) and had it delivered to my office on the release date.

And no, there was no Purple Ticket inside my copy.

i bought 3 on the release date and 2 day i recieved my copy from the npgmc, damn ups!!!
and the quest 4 the purple ticket continues....wtf! i'm helping the sales anyways....right?
and i might buy some more, i mo' from the npgmc but with the pin...and some @ best buy....peace

I did not purchase 3121 on March 21 because of a few reasons --

(1) I purchased the NPGMC version with that 3121 pin on March 17, before the cut-off special date. It should arrive at my home of residence sometime in the next week (but I won't get to access it for another month). Why? Read on ... ;

(2) I am currently on military orders and training/going to school on a military base in storm-ravaged Katrinaland; and

(3) I plan on purchasing a retail copy either Thursday or Friday on sale when I get out of military class for the weekend.

Nothing big, but just wanted to add my 2-cents.

I, like others, ordered mine thru NPGMC...tell me, why did loyal NPG members not have the CD shipped so that it arrived the DAY it was released? Seems odd that us loyal fans have to wait extra time...

Oh, and after class Thursday, I'm off to New Orleans for some R&R. I am sure to be pumpin' SST and Brand New Orleans as well as 3121 all the way down and back to Biloxi. I do have to tell you, though, it's still bad here. There is nothing to do off the base. You have to go 5-10 miles inland to see some kind of life (functional shopping strips and restaurants and clubs).

I did not buy 3121 on release day. I sent my bf to the wrecka stow.
