He's doing his impression of George W. Bush trying to find his way out of a room.
But on a weirder note, it's interesting that only one of his hands is pictured, just like Musicology.
I love Prince's hands.
It's also kind of spiritual, like he's praying at a wall.
Even though I love to look at Prince's face, I like it way better than the Musicology cover.

Prince had been using the symbol long before he used it as his name so it's no surprise that it's all over the place. Same thing with the color purple. It's part of who he is.

If you put 1235 Sierra Alta Way, Los Angeles, CA 90069 into maps.google.comand zoom all the way in you can see the house quite clearly. There's a semi-circle section there that looks just like the picture in the booklet (or inside cover, I don't have it in front of me now). Sweet looking place. But aren't they all in that area?

It appears (without the swirly soapstone horn thing) on the bike in Purple Rain.
