NPR Sound Check featuring Prince TODAY

My friend just sent me this email:
-----

From: S----
Sent: Tuesday, March 21, 2006 11:00 AM
To: jone70
Subject: 2 pm on NPR

Sound Check is featuring Prince, the man and the myth. They are going to discuss the new album. I don't think Prince will actually be on though.

I don't listen to NPR, but we are in NYC, so I presume it's 2pm EST.

twocents
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I have a meeting at 2pm so there's no way I'll be able to listen. sad If anyone is able to record from online and can send me a link I'd appreciate it. (That's legal, right--it's like tape recording something from the radio...)

Do you have a computer with itunes? You don't need an ipod/mp3 player to listen to a podcast on your computer.

No... boxed But I asked my friends to download the podcast & then maybe I can burn it to a CD from that.

I'll survive...but this work thing is really interfering with my Prince addiction--I'm missing concerts and everything. lol

Okay, I'm listening to it and am ready to turn it off. So far there's nothing but shit-talking ABOUT Prince.

"He fires his band on a regular basis and replaces them with new people...he's a freakish control freak...he's a crappy businessman...ha ha Prince incense."

Not that it's anything wildly untrue, but why do I want to listen to three dudes talk trash? I guess I was under the impression that there was an actual interview with Prince himself. Wishful thinking I suppose. sad
