Why does the live version always sound better?

I am checking out "vintage" cyberclips. Songs that I don't like CD version and have never listened to in it's entirety, sounds so much better live or even video version. Jam of the year, Love sign...

Why?? New Prince CD $9.99 at Best Buy,
Prince performance live... priceless!

I am so ready for a new tour!!

TOTALLY agree!

I would love to watch Musicology show. neutral
I always hoped that Mani being a fan before loved one of Prince would be able to convince him to release more live stuff that you know he has on video anyway.

But I have a feeling her influence on him (if she ever had any at all, is waning).

yeah, he should release at the very least one or two complete
shows from each of his tour. plus an aftershow.

if he'd put that stuff up on his site he would make a killing

"When Doves Cry" didn't sound good either, as countless other songs.

Now wait a minute!

Musicology I heard WDC live, and the way he mixed it with ... I can't remember what song it segued into, but it was sound GOOD. I wished I had a tape recorder, even a cheap one... because I wanted to hear that again and again. I was hoping that the rumor was true and a live DVD would be released since the next night in Detroit, full studio cameras were taping. But no NOTHING!!! pout

WDC has sounded "good" live (it was truncated like crazy on the Musicology tour though). But, imho, it has never sounded better than the studio version.
