The mortgate on it would be cheaper than that!!! http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/ - Prince discography, tour history, news and more.

All this shit is goofy. Couldn't he have had all the altered shit fixed/restored? Not saying he WOULD have but damn, if you're just renting you can't be doing just ANYTHING - I know he's Princey & all but come on
& as far as him renting I don't find it surprising at all - maybe he wanted to be out here for a certain pocket of time & just didn't find anything he was over the moon about. W/ $ like that you don't have to buy, you don't have to think about what's better financially - anyone who's dropping $70k a month AINT TRIPPIN I think the strangest part of the story is that he's getting sued by a player for the UTAH JAZZ

If the info comes from the smoking gun website, it should be taken as relyable. Only thing that it means is someone filed a lawsuit against prince. It however seems a little strange that this would happen the day before and day of the album release. Who is to say what how much truthyness this story contains? KrystleEyes said: A reason why Prince is renting not buying? Mani - cos Mayte took the last mansion and he knew he wouldn't be staying with number 2 much longer, so she would've ended up with this one if he owned it!
Exactly! In the state of California what he buys while married is considered equal property amongst husband and wife. Thats ALOT of money he would lose to his wife if and when there was a divorce. Maybe a few million to much for him to hand over.

Read the stuff on the site, the filing was in January not yesterday. http://www.thesmokinggun....ince1.html This site specializes in digging up stuff like this, and posting the original legal documents to back up their statements. They were the ones to expose James Frey's "memoir" as more fiction than fact: http://www.thesmokinggun....frey1.html "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

I got one better! Satellite aero photo of the place in early 2004 (probably before he rented it.) http://terraserver.micros...4.0930873 You can put in your own addy as well! Awesome, I saw my own house and could see my little red car parked out front. actually kind of scary. 1984 and Big Brother all over again. Thanks for the link! It didn't get my address quite right, though. I had to adjust the pic. Are we sure that's actually Prince's 'rented' house?

As far as I know, Prince has always rented property while "living" in L.A., but why would someone, ANYONE spend damn near a million dollars a year to rent?
That's nuts..... | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I'm willing to bet that Prince is not paying the rent for this L.A. house; Universal Studios is probably paying the tab. Can't artists negotiate things like this? Seems Prince is pretty savy about how to get others to pay for stuff on his behalf. Just a thought.

That's nuts..... did you ever see the BBC documentary Prince's Millions? They spoke to a lot of his old employees who all more or less said "when he has it, he spends it". This is why Prince will keep on churning out an album a year, its to pay for the lifestyle we have given him. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

That's nuts..... Well, thats alot less money he paid for the publicity he HAS gotten Vs. what he would have normally paid (FOR LESS publicity) if it wasn't for 3121 and the exposure for the "3121" and parties in LA. It's gotten him ALOT of publicity.

Is that the house in the liner notes? Is the big heart in the wall the hole he's being sued over?
And what's it like to be sued by a man who once looked a blind man in the eye and lied to him?

Zillow suggests that the house is valued at $8.5M. Surely, Prince should invest wisely and just buy Boozer's house.

Me too. I was under the impression that he had the house. I mean he has enough money to buy it. Very interesting. Same here, with Prince's money, it seems like he would be more apt to buy a place, rather than renting it. But to each their own, Prince undoubtedly has his reasons. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
