No No wrong... Lolita is the best track

Name any song that you really think could be on "Dirty Mind" of his later works?

None! Lolita could easily be in there. Or, even 1999. Its a rare throw back for the man. Got to give him props.

It's ok, I guess.

I prefer Love, The Word, The Dance, Fury, Get On The Boat, BL&B, TAC, and 3121 to it though. lol

Lolita would fit right in on 1999 or Dirty Mind. But the best song is LOVE!

If "Lolita" would be on my copy of "Dirty Mind" I'd make sure the album got burnt beyond recognition when I'd doze it in flames.

Ask yourself why? Because it's not good enough? bull sh*t. It's as good as Partyup, Dirty Mind and Uptown. And way better than Sister and Do It All Night. The only reason u dislike the song is 'cause it's from 2006. From the new Prince. I fail too see how you can love Dirty Mind and hate Lolita.

Didn't hear it yet, I'm waiting. But a song named Lolita can't be anything but good!

Calm down, I was only exaggerating. But no, I don't think it's anywhere enough near the stylistic character of "Dirty Mind". There's nothing punky about "Lolita" and the clumsy synth patch with the overt delay effect ruins it for me in the end. I don't dislike the song because "it's from 2006" - hell I haven't bought a single record in years that would have been made before the late 90s, I'm myself a great supporter of new music - but "Lolita" to me isn't working as well as it should. And I bloody hell loved "1+1+1=3".

Cause tomorrow is taking too long
and yesterday's too far away
and the reality that you believe in begins to bind.

Don't get the funk mixed up! There is Prince funk that is synthy, clumsy or not.. That is Prince. Then there is Prince ode-to funk like 1+1+1=3 or Get on the boat.

Hence, Lolita is still the best.

If he releases this as a single, it will chart in the top ten guaranteed cause people will be like 'WTF' I never heard this on 1999 and shit.
