I don't understand people. So we have a musician who some of us have listened to for 20+ years, and he's made some shitty albums the last few years. re: that "hilarious" battered fan syndrome picture: some people must be very, very fickle. You don't just stop listening to and paying attention to an artist just because he fell off, when you know that artist is capable of so much more than the paint-by-numbers bullshit he's been putting out lately. A lot of people at this forum are only still around with the faint hope that one day Prince will wake up and release another bomb album. Yes, what's he's been trying the last few years (trc, news, etc) has been new ... for him, but it's shit. I refuse to think that Prince is washed-up and out of ideas, like he just woke up one day and forgot how to make good music. One day, he'll be back with another classic. That's why I stick around. In the meantime, I have bootlegs.
