Ultimate leaves you wanting more......... Just received this and the quality is excellent
and tracks on CD are great to have on remastered CD but I cant help but wonder "where is the rest of the stuff?" If WB has plans for Ultimate 2, 3 ,etc..... this would be great but there is just so much missing but still cool to have.....still dont understand why they dont take all his extended hits and make 3 or 4 seperate CDs.....that way it would appease the hard core fans and the casual fan if they just wanted 1 or 2??? Well, if you hadn't heard, Warners have pulled this album from general release at the last minute although many albums have slipped out, and the rumour is that it is due to a lawsuit that one can only imagine is being brought by Prince's people.
With all the trouble they've had getting this album out, it makes future remastered releases all that more doubtful.

(that landed a copy??) I completely agree with you. I have been jamming to the Remixes this afternoon while cleaning my apartment. Most of them I had never heard before and they kick ass blasting through my stereo! It makes me want a) more 12"/b side versions that I've never heard and b) more remastering. I hope that one day (sooner rather than later) we will get all his stuff in remastered glory. If anything the high prices on ebay for these albums should prove that there is definitely a market for this kind of release. I totally paid too much for my copy, but it was worth every penny for me. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
