The track, diamonds and pearls How do u rate it? I love the video (captures the time very well, as music video's often do), and the chord changes on the instrumental break in the middle, is a real standout for a track that seems very run of the mill.
"d to the i to the a to....." Rosie sounds great aswell It does sound like 2 songs cobbled together abit (clunky chord changes between verse and chorus), but i forgive that, thats fine by me. I guess it is rosie and the break in the middle that really put it over for me. Drums sound muscular too. I get a feeling its really hated on this forum.

I can honestly say that it's grown on me, I hated it on the first listen, and the whole "D to the I ..." I thought was a little corny. Now I can appreciate it for the guilty pop pleasure it is, and Rosie just makes the song in my opinion. She could have saved The Symbol Album - too bad she quit before that.

I LOVED the special olympics version!! i think it kills the studio version by far (as per usual). rosie and prince's vocal breakdown are great at the end and it leads into a very cool guitar solo, also missing from the studio version, is great.

HA HA! Rosie doing "The Continental" conversation would have been ... interesting.
I remember the "D&P" video vaguely. Didn't it have a lot of gymnasts and Prince singing in a nursery or day care center or sumthin? Remember Prince's do? The typhoon? YEAH! He was heca-sexy.

Prince does that pouncy lil' split thing on the coach was one of the highlights. Yeah, he does hang out with kids on the final verse (nice to include a verse after the midde break bytheway), and i think rosie is hangin' out with them too, but wheres tony in that bit?
