Milty's mini review of 3121 I like it. It's a step up from Musicology. There's an understated edge to it. The JW commercials (Love, The Word, B,L & B and get On The Boat) are tolerable and not like the overt preachings on The Rainbow Children. Finally I get to hear a bassline proper on one of Prince's albums (Get On The Boat). they're usually too low in the mix.
Tamar is tolerable too. she's not too up front which is nice. Unlike Sheryl Crow's "duet" from Rave where she's so low in the mix all you hear is a murmur. fave tracks: 3121, te Amo Corazon, Love, Fury, The Word, The Dance, Get On The Boat. least Fave: Lolita, Incense and Candles. nice album prince. and a half of 5 makepandyhappy edit [Edited 3/19/06 6:21am]

What happened to the stars?
Why doesn't anybody think of the stars?

See? Had you rated the album the old fashioned way, with stars, maybe someone else would have answered

'Love' a JW commercial? I still see this as a shout-out to his (complaining) fans, much like 'Pearls b4 the swine'.
